The 48-year-old woman was driving her sedan around 8:30 a.m. Sunday when she rear-ended a SEPTA bus stopped at a red light on the 7400 block of Brookhaven Road, according to Philadelphia police.

The woman, who has not been identified, was pronounced dead nearly two hours later at Lankenau Hospital in Wynnewood, police said in a statement.

A 66-year-old bus driver and a 35-year-old bus passenger were both injured and taken to the same hospital for treatment, police said.

Both were listed in stable condition.
